A lonely woodsman falls for the slave-girl of a powerful witch. Determined to keep them apart, the witch curses The Woodsman's axe. With every swing he pays with a limb until he's more metal than man.
Based on the forgotten writings of L. Frank Baum, The Woodsman gives these darkly beautiful, haunting and heart-breaking stories new life through spectacular puppetry and song.

Three years ago, Sarah Kennedy thought she was hired as a translator for a corporate military prison in Baghdad, only to discover that she would be acting as an interrogator instead, retrieving information from dangerous prisoners of war - by any means necessary.
Now, Lily Strauss, a disgraced reporter in the waning days of newspaper journalism, must uncover Sarah's story, cutting through webs of corporate lies and government deception until finally faced with the choice between her own journalistic ideals, and the devastating consequences of telling the truth.
On the Head of a Pin, a political thriller in the tradition of Network and A Few Good Men, is an exploration of who watches the watchers, and what happens when they look away.

A sea nymph rises from the ocean yearning for a human soul, only to learn that to get what she wants, she must sacrifice everything she has. Hans Christian Andersen’s classic tale gets a dark twist when STRANGEMEN THEATRE COMPANY takes over Williamsburg’s McCarren Park with Puppets, Dance, and Song. Bring blankets, lawn chairs, and a (concealed) beverage of choice!
Presented as a collaboration with The Glass Bandits Theater Company, THE LITTLE MERMAID was Strangemen's first production and was where we experimented and found our physical story telling and puppetry language. The DNA of this play can be found in just about everything Strangemen does.
