THE WOODSMAN

Coming June 18th at ARS Nova's ANT FEST
 The Woodsman focuses on the story of Nick Chopper, a woodsman who falls for and promises marriage to a beautiful girl, who's under the guardianship of the powerful Wicked Witch of the East. In order to prevent the marriage the Witch performs a powerful spell that curses the woodsman's axe so that every time he swings it, he will lose a limb.
Determined not to be defeated, he replaces his lost parts with tin ones- and this cycle of violence and stubbornness continues until he is completely transformed into something literally heartless. Believing that love cannot exist without the organ responsible for it- the Tin Woodman pushes his love away only to rust alone in the forest.
